What is CPR?

CPR—or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation—is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.

What kind of training does my organization need?

We recommend First Aid CPR/ AED for everyone. Professional training can be certified through our CPRO program.

I need this for work. Do these courses meet OSHA requirements?

YES. All certifications meet OSHA standards. PARCAN Training is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider. Upon completion of the course, all students will receive a certificate issued from the American Red Cross which is valid for 2 years.

When does the class take place?

Safety training is important. You have made a substantial investment in your employees. But we understand that time is important that ‘s why we work around your schedule.

How long does the class take?

Adult First Aid CPR: 4 Hours 26 minutes (not including breaks)

Adult First AId/CPR/AED: 4 hours 54 minutes (not including breaks)

How many people can participate in a class?

In order to provide the best experience possible, individual class size is a maximum of 10 students. If your organization has more than 10, please contact us.

Where do the classes take place?

Where you work, learn and play. PARCAN training is a completely mobile on-site training provider.

What is the advantage to on-site training?

We believe in training where emergencies happen, in the home, at work and out in the world. This allows us to provide realistic scenarios that will customize the experience and make for better training.

Why do I need this training? Can’t I just call 911?

The United States has the fastest emergency response times in the world, however, in a cardiac emergency, every minute that passes before CPR is rendered reduces the patient’s chance of survival by 10%. Civilian first responders play a VITAL role in helping Professional First Responders succeed.

My company doesn’t have an AED? Do we need AED training?

First Aid/CPR classes can be given without the AED.
